Privacy policy

Nichipe works without an account. We do not sell personal data, show ads, or track you across apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

Your fridge ingredients, dietary exclusions, pot inventory, unit preference, recipe-viewing history, and onboarding status are stored locally on your device. You can remove this information in Nichipe Settings by choosing Delete all data, or by deleting the app.

Recipe and matching requests

Nichipe sends the ingredient identifiers and dietary exclusions needed to return recipe matches. They are processed for that request and are not saved to a user account or used to build an advertising profile.

Photo detection

Photo detection is not available in the current release. Nichipe does not upload or process fridge photos while this feature is unavailable. This policy will be updated before photo detection is released.

Analytics, advertising, and service providers

The current release does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Vercel hosts the website and API, and Supabase hosts the recipe database. These providers may process standard network metadata, such as IP address and request timing, to operate and secure their services.

Data retention

Nichipe does not maintain an account or a server-side profile for the current release. Local app data remains on your device until you reset the app or remove it. Operational infrastructure logs are retained according to our hosting providers' service policies.

Children

Nichipe is a general-audience cooking utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
